Whats New Wednesday

Hello everyone
This is my FIRST time starting the whats new thread.
As most of you are doing, I am trying to get ready for the holidays. I sold my old couch, chair and ottoman on Craigs List today.  I am getting prepared to have  new carpet installed in our family room in a couple of days and new furniture delivered next week. . My old couch was originally purchased in 1976 and reupholstered in 1992. I got $130 for it.... I thought that was pretty good.
Yesterday I decided that I would paint the room. So,last night my DD and I started taking the wallpaper border down and I finished today. I went to the paint store my brother works at and bought the paint. I was going to start painting this evening.
After my son came home from baseball practice he told me two of his friend were coming for him to tutor them in Chemistry. They were going to be in the family room. Then DH went and picked DD up from Lacrosse practice. She was hungry and need to finish her homework.   Needless to say I didn't start painting tonight.
I don't have any plans tomorrow so first thing in the morning after the kids leave for school I am going to  to start my painting after I patch the nail holes from pictures.

Hi Mary!  Your life sounds busy and full. Good luck with the painting tomorrow!

I went on a rampage and cleaned out my  big walk-in pantry tonight. Yikes, it needed it.  Gathered up my donations to the local food bank and cleaned/organized all the shelves. 

Today was my first day back to work after a three day weekend, so I had lots to do -- with lots more waiting for me tomorrow.  I'm sooo not ready for Christmas.  So much to do.

One day at a time right? 

And can you believe it, I'm not tired at all. I think I may have to take a tylenol PM soon so I'm not up all night. I'll never get the painting started if I crawl back in bed tomorrow morning after I get the kids and DH out the door.
That warm bed is sooooo inviting in the morning after everyone leaves. Last one out the door is at 7:25am.

Good morning Mary and all you other OFFers!

Got the dreaded call today.  Actually, Mary had to call them.  Part of the car repairs are covered by the warranty.  The part not covered will cost me about $450 ($200 deductable).  Thermometer and water pump.  Oh well, at least it will work.  

Still have the rental car too, so we will be a two car family for a couple of days.  Maybe Mary can get out the house for a change while I am working.  But we are doing something together tonight.  Going to get some autographs from some Rangers.  Michael Young, Chris Davis and Derek Holland.  

Let me get back to work now.  Later. 

Ah Good Morning Mary,
It is 0315am down here in the south!!!!! I woke up to snoring cats and a snorting husband. Now I am wide awake and cant sleep.
HMMM painting, I have all white walls, Now I am starting to think maybe I need some color in my house.
I want to do my living room over in Lodge look. Well see.
I had my CT scan on my abdoman yesterday. They are looking for adhesions.
I go and see a surgeon in January sometime.
I work al day today till 4pm so Ill be busy doing I hope some haircuts. We havent been busy at all in the salon. Wonder if it because Subway next door to us was robbed on Sunday?????

Good Morning Mary and Friends,

Nothing much to report. Put up some more Christmas lights outside around our deck rail yesterday.  Rest of the house is decorated and looks so nice. We have a really wide mantle above the gas fireplace so place a nice real looking garland that I bought at Michael's and put lights laced through it. Tree is up, no presents under the tree yet.

Someone mentioned finishing shopping and mailing cards. I'm actually earlier than usual this year but haven't started the Christmas letter or much shopping yet. I'm "gathering info" and will do a lot of my shopping on line in a few days. I had really good luck with that last year. Good prices and it's delivered to my door. Guess local retailers hate that but I just am so not into huge crowds of often rude people.

Today is our TOPS luncheon. I'm wearing a forest green velour pants set. Probably won't show any weight loss on the scale as it is heavy, but it's what I want to wear so be it!

I think I'd better try to get some more sleep. You all have a wonderful Wednesday!
